Sorry, running out of time to write, so here's just a big batch of pictures from our last days in Guangzhou.

Out of curiosity I clicked the "next blog" at the top of mine. What a lovely story to stumble upon! What a sweet little girl. I love your photos too. I went to Hong Kong when I was young and we went on a cruise down the Pearl River too. To a city pronounced 'syew hang.' Anyway, congratulations on expanding your family :)

Well, I hope you haven't lost your tastes for local blueberries, cherries, tomatoes, etc. The farmers market is going strong with lots of yummy food...nothing quite so exotic as HUGE scorpions on a stick. Maybe we should make a date for a homemade Chinese meal. We just got back from car camping on the Smith River. Unfortunately there are fires all over the place...96 and 299 are both closed; no camping/back-packing in the Siskyous, Trinities, Marbles or Russians and a huge fire in So. Hum threatening Shelter Cove...too much smoke for camping at A-Way. Tule and Slate are doing fine; starting to nurse and gain weight. And we are planning for your homecoming. Can't wait to see you all AND, thanks for the phone calls...all the way from China.

Love you lots,

K
